EQWIP HUBs is committed to protecting the privacy of the personal information of its employees, members, volunteers and other stakeholders. EQWIP HUBs values the trust of those we deal with, and of the public and we realize that maintaining this trust requires that we be transparent and accountable in how we treat the information that you choose to share with us. During the course of our various projects and activities, EQWIP HUBs frequently gathers and uses personal information. Personal Information

This information can include an individual’s opinions or beliefs, as well as facts about, or related to, the individual. Business contact information and certain publicly available information, such as names, addresses and telephone numbers as published in telephone directories, are not considered personal information. Where an individual uses his or her home contact information as business contact information as well, EQWIP HUBs considers that the contact information provided is business contact information, and is not therefore subject to protection as personal information.

Privacy Practices

Personal information gathered by EQWIP HUBs is kept in confidence. EQWIP HUBs staff are authorized to access personal information based only on their need to deal with the information for the reason(s) for which it was obtained. Safeguards are in place to ensure that the information is not disclosed or shared more widely that is necessary to achieve the purpose for which it was gathered. To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the appropriate use of information, we have put in place physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information you provide us online. We may change this policy from time to time by updating this posting. Please check this page periodically for changes. Your continued use of this site following the posting of changes to this policy will mean you accept those changes. Funding

EQWIP HUBs’ global projects are funded with resources and donations received from the public and the Canadian government. The freewill support of private and corporate donors can also include gifts-in-kind. Grants awarded by the Government of Canada through Global Affairs Canada are awarded to EQWIP HUBs based on a competitive process where EQWIP HUBs can demonstrate its expertise, solid infrastructure and responsible expenditure of public funds on international projects. EQWIP HUBs partners with the Government of Canada through Global Affairs Canada and is regularly audited for compliance.
