The EQWIP HUBs Youth Communication & Engagement Coordinator will work with staff and local partner organizations to develop and strengthen the project platforms that support youth to access employment and business opportunities. You will have the chance to collaborate with the EQWIP HUBs Network to identify and develop solutions to overcome local barriers to employment and entrepreneurship.
As the Youth Communication & Engagement Coordinator, you will be responsible for supporting youth outreach activities and raising the profile of EQWIP HUBs and the partner’s youth programs with a passion for community engagement, marketing and youth focused programming.
KEY ACTIVITIES
- Assist with building the partner organization’s capacity to deliver the communications strategy;
- Support the partner in developing of youth outreach and communication tools;
- Support planning and delivery of youth outreach activities to more effectively market EQWIP HUB’s and the partner programs for youth;
- Support development of policies, systems and organizational structures to ensure inclusion and participation of youth in the partner’s activities, including representation in their governance structure;
- Support additional tasks as assigned by the local EQWIP HUBS project team and partners.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, public relations, or similar field.
- At least 2 years relevant experience in community outreach, marketing, communications, events planning or related.
- Strong writing, editing, and communications skills.
- Experience with youth focused programming.
- Digital literacy – proficient in Word, Excel, Powerpoint, email, social media.
- Experience with developing outreach and marketing materials is considered an asset.
