The EQWIP HUBs Financial Management Advisor will work with staff and local partner organizations to develop and strengthen the project platforms that support youth to access employment and business opportunities. You will have the chance to collaborate with the EQWIP HUBs Network to identify and develop solutions to overcome local barriers to employment and entrepreneurship.

The volunteer will provide support to the partner to improve the local partner’s capacity and systems for financial management, including book keeping, internal auditing and controls, financial reporting based on the knowledge generated from the Partner Capacity Assessment and Partner Sustainability Plan.

KEY ACTIVITIES

• Support the partner organization with identifying, assessing and selecting accounting software;
• Support partner in improving their financial internal control through development and/ or review of manuals, policies, systems including providing training as needed;
• Support the partner to prepare for internal audit if required;
• Assist partner in developing and/or improving their Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) in financial management.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting or financial management.
• Relevant educational background or experience/certification such as degree in accounting, management or business administration.
• Ability to work as part of a team in a professional manner and work with minimal supervision and must continually prioritize duties.
