20 Jul Explore the World of EQWIP HUBs
July is a special month for the EQWIP HUBs initiative. Canada World Youth/Youth Challenge International’s bold, new youth development project marked its first full year of operations – a huge milestone!
A total of 17 dynamic youth innovation spaces known as EQWIP HUBs are up and running in six countries: Bolivia, Ghana, Indonesia, Peru, Senegal and Tanzania. The first cohorts of young Canadian volunteers were recruited and placed in six countries working collaboratively and cross-culturally to help impact one of the greatest challenges of our time — youth under and unemployment.
Today, Each EQWIP HUB space is home to a vibrant and supportive community shaped by unique local needs and cultural customs, but unified by the spirited pulse of youth.
Thanks to this dynamic program, local youth aged 18-35 will:
- Learn market-relevant skills
- Gain access to the mentorship, networks, technology & capital
- Prepare youth for meaningful employment
- Help young people launch a new wave of enterprise
